Ring of Honor women's pure champion Deonna Purrazzo called on free agents to view the promotion as a prime destination amid a recent influx of available wrestlers. Purrazzo, who helped revive ROH's women's division upon joining in 2015, highlighted the promotion's under-the-radar status that allows for story development and multiple women's matches weekly.

Purrazzo featured in one of ROH's first women's matches in nearly a decade after arriving in 2015 and remained with the company for three years. She returned in 2024 following All Elite Wrestling co-founder Tony Khan's purchase of ROH, which operates as an AEW sister promotion. Purrazzo entered a tournament for the inaugural ROH women's pure title and defeated Billie Starkz in December to claim the championship, which she has held since. "I think that there is really great women’s wrestling within Ring of Honor. Most weeks there’s four, five, six women’s matches," she told Fox News Digital.

Athena has held the ROH Women’s World Championship for more than 1,200 days, while Red Velvet has reigned as ROH Women’s World Television champion for more than 150 days.

Purrazzo and her husband, TNA Wrestling's Steve Maclin, a U.S. Marines veteran, host the Battle for the Brave charity event on June 6 to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Purrazzo emphasized support for veterans, drawing from her second-grade memories of post-9/11 unity and Maclin's post-service transition to wrestling.
